About the Butler
The butler on a superyacht is the primary interface with the guests and ultimately is responsible for their overall experience onboard the yacht. Extensive knowledge of wine, cocktails, entertaining groups and event planning is vital. The butler must effectively manage their team to execute impeccable guest service and communicate with the other departments onboard to ensure exceptional guest experience. This position typically requires at least two years in similar roles. (Not all yachts operate with butlers and this position is only seen on the largest of yachts that accentuate formal, more traditional or sometimes personalized service.)
