FRACTIONAL
YACHT OWNERSHIP
Luxury Yacht Group specializes in the operational management of Fractionally Owned yachts and has developed operating systems designed specifically for multiple owners.
Why buy a fractional yacht?
- Shared costs
- Reduced operational stress
- Shared experiences gained
Fractional ownership is a perfect option for somebody who is interested in owning a yacht but can only commit three to six weeks per year for yachting vacations, and would like to share the costs of yacht ownership.
In addition to the yacht's purchase price, the annual maintenance expenses of general repairs, cleaning processes, docking fees, fuel, and crew salaries can add up quickly. Sharing these costs with other owners is an increasingly popular method many people are using to enjoy the benefits of yacht ownership efficiently.
Is fractional ownership better than chartering?
Financially, fractional ownership is far more economical than chartering for larger vessels and for the client who enjoys frequent yacht vacations. We do not recommend fractional ownership to charter clients who are happy changing destinations, vessels, and crews regularly.
The charter market for yachts under 100' is particularly competitive, and chartering is less expensive than ownership in this segment. The freedom that comes from chartering is a great value on those smaller vessels.
Why Luxury Yacht Group?
Luxury Yacht Group takes care of all operational and technical management of the yacht and ensures that the planned maintenance is carried out in a timely manner to make the yacht available for you exactly when you want use of the vessel.
Accounts are outlined for each owner, detailing all expenditures and in monthly and quarterly reports. A separate report is issued for each individual owner in regard to personal expenditures in provisioning for each specific trip so that complete discretion is assured.
Successful experience in fractional ownership has helped LYG to anticipate the common pitfalls that occur, and keep the yacht running smoothly for each owner. We work closely with the captain and crew of the vessel to ensure that each owner is completely satisfied with the quality of service that is being provided.
Consideration for crew holidays and time for yacht repairs is scheduled with consideration for peak ownership use periods. This preventative, planned maintenance program helps to ensure that each owner enjoys a successful experience onboard.
LYG provides a constant contact for the vessel and all of the accounts so that certifications, insurance, and crew payroll are maintained properly by an independent party who acts in the collective best interest of the ownership, vessel, and crew.
