So many exotic adventures await of fascinating foods, temples, dramatic limestone cliffs and caves, white sand beaches and amazing coral islands to be discovered beneath the turquoise waters.
Agents, formalities and provisioning are improving dramatically in this area. The yachting infrastructure is increasing making this region an emerging cruising ground full of new discoveries and adventure.
Sample Itinerary - 10 days
Thailand
Day 1 Spend the day in Phuket, bargaining in the market and enjoying a Thai massage on the beach. Soak in the atmosphere of the friendly Thai people and the exotic sights and sounds of this incredible place.
Day 2 Cruise over to Phang Na, a dramatic bay surrounded by gravity defying limestone cliffs and discover the hongs, sea caves. Anchor under the shadows of Koh Phi Phi, made famous by The Beach.
Day 3 Phra Nang beach is nestled amongst deserted islands of icing sugar white beaches. A day trip into Krabi is suggested to discover the Tiger Cave Temple and active monastery with an impressive temple, only accessible by hiking through the rainforest.
Day 4 A short cruise to Ko Lanta, far away form the tourists, deserted beaches and a scenic waterfall hike just minutes from the anchorage.
Day 5 Arrive at sunrise at Koh Muk to swim into this famous lost lagoon. You will swim through a cave and come out into the centre of the island, your own private oasis surrounded by shear cliffs and a solitary beach. A unique experience not to be missed. Later in the day there will be many tourists which is why it is suggested to go at sunrise. The rest of the island is great for kayaking and snorkeling.
Day 6 The Rok Nok islands are two islands between which there is impressive diving and snorkeling amongst these incredible coral islands. These islands are part of the marine park.
Day 7-8 The Butang group of islands is another marine park. A picturesque and tranquil barely inhabited location famed for its diving.
Day 9 Explore the island of Tarutao, another national park with forested hillsides, caves and waterfalls. It was previously a penal colony and pirate hangout.
Day 10 Arriving in Langkawi the island of mysteries. There are many wonderful islets, rock formations, and rain forested towering limestone cliffs. Or the last hours can be spent shopping in the capital Kuah.
