Hauraki Gulf Bay of Islands
Day 1 Depart Auckland and cruise towards Waieke Island fringed by sandy white beaches and filled with boutique vineyards.
Day 2 Coromandel Coast has steep wild mountains and lush forests
Day 3 Great Barrier Island is the perfect spot for diving and fishing and to enjoy the hot thermal springs
Day 4 Kawau Island has a maritime park with rugged coastline and beautiful forests fit for hiking
Day 5 Cruise up to the Bay of Islands where there are over 200 sheltered anchorages. Enter past Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock while on the lookout for dolphins and penguins
Day 6-10 Explore the islands in particular Black Rock and the lava formations, Cavalli Island and its white sandy beaches, Whangaroa with her protected harbor and dramatic headlands and waterfalls, and finish in historic Russell.
