The Seychelles are an archipelago of 115 islands, like a scattering of gemstones upon an azure ocean. Legendary beauty made up of granite islands and coral atolls. Superb scenery of swaying palms, pristine beaches, magnificent underwater worlds of fish and coral, and hidden coves set in tranquil little hideaways.
The Maldives is famed for its rare underwater beauty. The profusion of psychedelic colors and the abundance and variety of life underwater make the diving and snorkeling here phenomenal. Surfing is also becoming very popular here. With over 1000 islands to discover with dazzling beaches and lagoons with infinite shades of turquoise the Maldives is also the perfect place to master the art of doing nothing.
These remote islands on either side of the Indian Ocean are irresistible cruising grounds of extraordinary beauty. Due to many marine parks and world heritage sites there are some cruising restrictions.

Maldives
Between the months of August and November is the season for mantas and whale sharks and anytime until April is the best season for diving. The Maldives stretches across hundreds of miles so provisioning can be difficult. Therefore the most common cruising area for yachts has been the North and South Male Atolls, Alifu and Felidhe Atolls. There are many hundreds of islands within these atolls so there is no common cruising route. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, lazing the days away and surfing can be achieved anywhere within these atolls.
