The land of the midnight sun is an unadulterated frontier filled with the timeless wonders of nature. Alaska has opened the doors for those who are ready for an arctic blast of exhilaration.

The cruising area extends from the vibrant lights and cosmopolitan cities of Seattle and Vancouver up to the outstanding beauty and awe inspiring coastlines of Kodiak.

For variety and breath taking beauty Alaska and the Pacific Northwest is hard to miss. The best times of year to cruise are the months of June to early September.

 


Sample Itinerary 7 Days
Juneau to Ketchikan.

Day 1.  Juneau Alaskas capital, a frontier town, shopping, and helicopter rides to the Mendehall Glacier.

Day 2. Cruise through the Icy Straits and around to Sitka.  Explore the raptor rehabilitation centre with bald eagles, and then the rainforests and Totem pole in Totem Park. Or maybe just go salmon fishing.

Day 3. Kayak past Baranoff with the sea lions and otters, and then explore the scenic Ogden Passage stopping to relax in the White Sulfur Hot Springs. On through Chatham Passage with its many whales and whale station ruins.

Day 4. In Frederick Sound observe the sea lion rockery and cruise through the humpback whale territory. There is also a resident pod of Orca whales feeding in this area.

Day 5. Weaving your way through the icebergs and waterfalls into the rugged wilderness area looking for bears around Admiralty Island.

Day 6. Cruise towards St Petersburg a quaint fishing village.

Day 7. Ketchikan is the final destination but your trip wouldnt be complete without a stop in the bear observatory on the way.
